Kaafu is the natural atoll of Malé, in the central Maldives, around Malé. It has 77 resort islands and 14 local islands with guest houses, reached from Malé by speedboat in 10 to 55 minutes or seaplane in 10 to 30 minutes. We have published six projects from here.

Kaafu (Malé) Atoll lies in the central Maldives, around Malé; its geographic name is Malé, and K is the code you will see on a transfer schedule. There are 77 resort islands here and 14 inhabited islands with guest houses, each with its own page.
From Malé, the resorts of Kaafu are reached by speedboat in 10 to 55 minutes, seaplane in 10 to 30 minutes or domestic flight and speedboat. The islands run from Manhattan Business Hotel with 28 villas to Sun Siyam Olhuveli with 460: the difference between a private beach for twenty and a ballroom for a conference. Seasons and light.
Two monsoons shape a year in Kaafu. Iruvai, the north-east monsoon from late November to early April, is the dry season of clear skies and still lagoons; Hulhangu, the south-west monsoon from April to November, brings short showers, dramatic cloud and the best sunsets. Kaafu shares Malé's weather almost exactly, so the seasonal notes on our journal apply here without adjustment. Which resort in Kaafu should we choose?
It depends on your guest count, your budget and whether the resort admits outside planners. The smallest island in Kaafu is Manhattan Business Hotel with 28 villas; the largest is Sun Siyam Olhuveli with 460. How do we get to Kaafu Atoll?
From Velana International Airport in Malé by speedboat in 10 to 55 minutes, seaplane in 10 to 30 minutes or domestic flight and speedboat, booked through the resort. Our team and the flowers travel on the same transfer, usually the morning before the event.
Can we bring you as our planner to a resort in Kaafu?
Most Maldivian resorts welcome a planner and stylist booked by the couple or the company, working alongside their own events team; a few run everything in-house. We confirm the current policy of the resort you name within 24 hours of your enquiry, and if it is closed to outside vendors we say so plainly.
What does a wedding or event in Kaafu cost?
There are no fixed packages. Every event is designed and quoted on its own: our fee on one line, the resort and the vendors at cost on the others, with government taxes (GST) and the 10 % service charge shown. A proposal with the full cost breakdown arrives within five days and is held for five; a 50 % deposit confirms production.
When is the best season in Kaafu?
Iruvai, from late November to early April, is the dry season and the busiest; December is peak across the Maldives, so book early. Hulhangu, from April to November, brings short showers and the best sunsets. We work in both, with a wet-weather venue in every plan.
