The brief
In 2018 Splendid Maldives brought a group to Seaside Finolhu in Baa Atoll for a retreat that ran over several days, each with its own theme. Finolhu is built for it: a 1.3-kilometre sandbank with the UNESCO biosphere reserve around it. The brief was to keep the formality of a corporate programme and still let the group enjoy themselves. Ikebana Maldives designed each day differently, with bundles of bright flowers and large, playful structures for the parties and a cleaner hand for the formal sessions. The design mirrored the mood of the group, day by day, without losing the polish the company expected.
